Republican voters of Silver Spring Township, please be aware. Many of us have been inundated with campaign mailers promoting Atreia Sindiri and Don Sokoloski for township supervisor. These candidates are being funded primarily by what is known as the Silver Spring Strong PAC which is only identified by a post office box in Hampden Township.
Also of concern is the growing conversation that these candidates are supported by developer special interests and Greg Rothman. Yes, Greg Rothman who is a multi-millionaire, state senator and now state GOP chairman. Many of you will recall that Rothman was chairman of the Cumberland County Republican Party in 2019. Against the concerns of many county committee members, Rothman went ahead and “endorsed” two of his own candidates and authorized over $12,000 of county funds for a local election in 2019 which targeted Nancy Konhaus Griffie, one of the finest supervisors in our township. I don’t think state legislators should be influencing local elections. As a state senator and state GOP chairman, I would think Mr. Rothman would have more important state issues to address.
Residents of Silver Spring, please do not be misled by candidates Sindiri and Sokoloski. Their backgrounds are in real estate and development. By supporting Sindiri and Sokoloski, you will, in my opinion, be supporting unbridled development and sprawl and possibly the end of the township’s successful land preservation program.
Two other candidates, Laura Brown, who is an incumbent running for reelection, and Mark Potteiger, a highly respected and lifelong resident of Silver Spring are funding their own campaigns. Unlike Sindiri and Sokoloski, Brown and Potteiger are not accepting special interest monies nor being influenced by outsiders. They are running for office for the simple reason of representing the citizens of Silver Spring. Please check out their websites:

Sindiri comes across as a snake oil salesman. Definitely worse than the average politician.

This township got rotten with the tax increases, high cost of living thanks to the so called policies of Laura, Nancy and this self interest of Cheerleading Vince and Troup. Before they make us bankrupt, We need to elect the new team like Sindiri and Sokoloski.

OMG I can’t stop laughing. You actually want people to believe that self serving clowns that are supported by Verber will fix anything? That’s hysterical. You are overflowing with BS.

What tax increases are you talking about? There hasn’t been any tax increases in the township since Laura was elected. Why are you lying?

The township has not raised taxes. The school district has raised property taxes. Take some remedial math.

All I needed to know about Sindiri was that he was working with that politician buying rat, Dr Verber. Everything Dr. Verber is involved in should be looked at as questionable and likely corrupt.

Respectfully, Vince, I think you’re pointing fingers in the wrong direction.
You say Laura Brown is the answer—but she’s been part of the very leadership that’s created many of the problems we’re now facing in Silver Spring Township. If you’re satisfied with increasing development pressures, financial confusion, and a lack of long-term vision, then maybe sticking with the status quo makes sense. But for those of us who want something better, it’s time for change.
Here’s a true fact Vince: Don Sokoloski is not backed by developers. That narrative simply isn’t true. And Atreia Sindiri? He’s a thoughtful, fiscally responsible citizen who wants to ensure our township plans smarter—not just for tomorrow, but for the next 10, 20, 30 years.
Labeling them as tools of “special interests” doesn’t hold water. It’s a distraction from the real issues we face—and a convenient way to avoid accountability for past decisions made by the current leadership.
Residents deserve representatives who listen, think independently, and aren’t afraid to challenge old habits. That’s why I’m supporting Sindiri and Sokoloski.

You need to look at Laura’s history. And your dear friend Nancy’s voting record, too –both of them are responsible for the destruction of our rural environment by voting in Costco and allowing Hempt Farms to go. What’s next –McCormick Farm? Look at the data Vince and you’ll see now Laura (and Nancy) have done a fine job in looking at the present and not the future of our township. Thankfully we have a chance to make some real changes here and Don and Atreia are a good team who will help us into that future.

Look back at the minute minutes from December 2019. Sokoloski made a motion to approve a worse settlement offer on the Hempt farm development. Laura came into that mess and a few months into her role as supervisor, she worked with the others and preserved some of the ground and got a much better deal. Sokoloski was so impressed he joined the boards zoom meeting in August 3, 2020 to say how he supported the deal and commented how the board likely got a much better deal.

SOKOLOSKI and SINDIRI are BOUGHT AND PAID for by Strong Silver Spring PAC!!! Who is pulling the strings behind the curtains…developers, lawyers, political operatives???
On social media, Sokoloski claims he doesn’t know who sent mailers. Check SOKOLOSKI and SINDIRI political contributions. Check SOKOLOSKI’s lobbyist wife and a string of large $$$ sums to STRATEGY PAC. Check Future Leaders PAC.
Silver Spring Township doesn’t have money problem. The school district does and SINDIRI thinks he can solve a problem that doesn’t exist. Poor attendance record at school board meetings and committees.
All political theatre and dramatic fluff with no measurable actions from this PAC-influenced team. FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL!!

The conspiracy content here is reaching new levels of tinfoil-hattery. Might be time to return the hat and step away from the Kool-Aid. Your fixation on Senator Rothman is less ‘concerned citizen’ and more ‘unhinged Reddit thread.’ Maybe try meditation—or just a nap. This level of obsession can’t be good for your blood pressure.

Known Potteiger for years and years –why would we want to work so closely with Brown? She is not a reputable individual from what we have seen over the past years. She really steps ups to the plate for an election year it seems. Potteiger is a good candidate if he doesn’t have her in his ear.
